Cavotec Remote Controls at Athens Olympics

Cavotec Remote Controls at Athens Olympics

The biggest celebration of the world bridged 3000 years of Olympic Games history and for Cavotec Micro-control a technological proof of being a leader in radio remote controls.

Would everything work according to plan in front of 72.000 people in the Olympic Stadium and four billion more across the globe? The statue rose from the water, then rose again some 3 meters from the ground. Suddenly the statue starts to open and 18 different sections begin to move away, the Cavotec Micro-control system had done its job! The equipment consisted of 36 base units, 2 MC net nodes and 1 MC 3000 terminal.
